     The University of Cincinnati Martial Arts Club was founded 45 years ago (1967) by Grandmaster Kyongwon Ahn, 9th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo. He has 55 years of experience in martial arts.

William Scott Sr

     William Scott Sr, a city of cincinnati employee, continued the program from the jefferson ave school into the 70 s to late 80s asst by his son William Scott Jr. Master Scott was 7th degree black belt and and a 2nd class international referee with the world Taekwondo Federation. After 1988 the program was continued on U C campus by Jon Glassman

 




     He was followed in 1996 by Master James Beasley who has taught the class for the last 17 years. He has been a student of GM Ahn for the last 40 years. He is a 1st class international referee of Olympic-style Taekwondo. Certified by the World TaekwondoFederation. He has just completed his 8th degree black belt test. He will remain TKD advisor.

Master John Ritter

     Master John Ritter will lead the classes moving forward. He is a 5th degree black belt with 20 years experience in martial arts. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, a 2007 graduate of the UC with a degree in materials engineering. He has been with the martial arts club since 2002.

 

     Frank H. Bowen, Jr., is a seasoned Students Affairs professional with well over 35 years of experience. He is presently the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students for the Division of Student Affairs and Services and is administratively responsible for the units that comprise the Office of Student Life. He currently advices the University of Cincinnati Martial Arts Club.
